We are looking for a seasoned and success-driven Director of Marketing to oversee the development and implementation of marketing strategies for all divisions of Bassman Blaine. This person will also lead and guide the team who executes this strategy. He or She understands our sales cycle, our offerings, our target audience and sees to it that projects are completed on time and on budget. Our ideal Marketing Director will have extensive marketing experience, comprehensive knowledge of branding, a solid connection to our Bassman Blaine values, and enjoy interacting with our internal and external customers and clients.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to uncover insights and knowledge to develop and implement marketing and branding strategies for new and existing products (and services), internally as well as externally.
- Oversee and grow the marketing department, consistently identifying revenue opportunities within our established customer and client base and managing consistent growth by helping to secure new accounts (and clients).
- Identify short-term and long-term campaign scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget, profit/loss projections, expenditure spending, and other financial considerations.
- Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends to translate results into actionable insights for the marketing team.
- Lead internal customer (BB Team) programming and messaging.
- Lead the development of our marketing plans working closely with customers and clients, management, creative and content teams, and distribution partners, to create an effective and efficient marketing strategy focused on growing audiences for our products and services.
- Spearhead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing campaigns, including design of test/control segmentation, implementation of tests, tracking, results reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
- Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plan and strategies, product concepts, and promotional programs to drive interest and sales.
- Hold regular meetings with the sales team and leadership to review the pipeline, resolve challenges, present possible solutions, and provide ongoing training to ensure the team consistently performs above standard.
- Attend and/or participate in tradeshows, preparing engaging displays and collateral as needed, and providing post-event reports and analysis.
- Create seamless and effortless, high-quality customer experiences through the delivery of digital marketing campaigns.
- You will be working closely with cross-functional teams internally and externally to integrate customer acquisition tactics and strategies into regional Go-To-Market (GTM) planning.
- Continuously evaluate and improve marketing technology stack.
Requirements*
- 10 years of experience and successful record of accomplishment in marketing roles and creating and implementing marketing campaigns.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
- Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.
- Strong desire to grow professionally with ongoing education.
- Advanced knowledge of modern web frameworks (HTML5, JavaScript), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, email campaign management, automated journey building, data management platforms, CRM, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Website Google analytics, SEO, SEM, SMM, PPC, content marketing, and lead generation.
- Relevant industry experience in design trade home décor, accessories, lighting, and furnishings.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in marketing, advertising, or related field. MBA or related Masters degree preferred.
- A thought leader in e-commerce, SEO, paid digital advertising, and social media.
- Strategic thinker who can define a compelling vision that brings together data analytics, consumer learning, trends, and business objectives.
- Passionate about leveraging analytics to assess performance, forecast sales, and profit impact of efforts.
- People leader who can inspire others, effectively manage a team of direct reports, and collaborate across functions and with agency partners.
- Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Has a start-up mentality; strong sense of urgency, eager to problem solve, can work with a lean team and agency partners/vendors brings a positive, can-do attitude.
