What are the responsibilities and job description for the BT-2121 Medical Doctor position at Bastion Technologies?
Job Description:
Provides Medical supervision during XEVAS EVA suit and Lunar suit testing. Administers medical attention and examination for patient's general physical condition, reactions to medications, testing operations, and medical history.
Conducts physical examinations, program design, health promotion, epidemiologic studies, and hazard consultation.
Provides treatment of injuries and communication of the return-to-work status to the client industry.
Required Skills:
- Medical Degree for Education required
- 10 Years of relevant experience
- Must be a US citizen
- Must be able to pass a national agency check
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and periodic random drug and alcohol screenings.
- Completion of medical residency training
- Current, full, active and unrestricted license to practice medicine
- Possess a Doctor of Medicine Degree from an approved school of medicine in the United State or Canada.
- Prior academic or professional working experience with aerospace medicine topics such as life support systems and hyperbaric/hypobaric operations
- Demonstrated ability to work with interdisciplinary teams to solve complex problems
- Able to effectively lead multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, while meeting aggressive deadlines
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as technical writing proficiency
Other Desired Skills:
- Prior experience with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) processes and procedures is highly desired.
- Prior experience working for the military or other major aerospace and space companies.
- Current board certification in Aerospace Medicine is highly recommended but not required.
- Technical knowledge of spacecraft systems and operations (e.g. orbital mechanics, avionics, propulsion, thermal control, life support systems)
