Batesville is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team in Vicksburg, MS. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for implementing projects, aligned with our philosophy of Lean manufacturing. This position is responsible for identifying and implementing improvements in process, materials, and equipment. This position is also responsible for the quality of products as they are passed on to the customer.

- Design, develop, and implement process improvements to control usage and reduce scrap.
- Ensure product flow is optimized by reducing WIP and improving productivity.
- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles throughout the organization using value stream mapping and other lean manufacturing tools such as 5s, Kanban, and visual management.
- Support implementation of corrective actions to solve production/quality issues.
- Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods and quality design and control tools (PFMEA, Control Plan, DOE, etc.) for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
- Generates risk assessment, engineering requirements, cost estimates, schedules, and works with manufacturing to implement new product/process development projects.
- Perform system reviews to ensure quality system policies, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and job instructions are being used and followed and assist in establishing or improving process flows for standard work.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in engineering or related field
- Five years or more in related engineering experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in manufacturing environment
- Two years or more in a Leadership role
Great to Haves:
- B.S. in Engineering preferred
- Experience in AutoCAD and Info View preferred.
- Direct experience in applicable industry is preferred.
- Experience with statistical software packages preferred.
- Firm grasp of Lean/Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies preferred.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills required.
- Concentration specific knowledge/experience as required for assigned area.
