We are looking for a CNC Machinist, Lathe Operator to independently set up and run lathe, familiar with the metric system (or willing to learn the metric system), reading prints and measuring tools. Someone who is also interested in learning to operate additional machines in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Produce precision quality parts machining a variety of materials to engineering specification (SS304, 316L, aluminum and a variety of plastics, etc.) .
- Review shop orders and complete as needed.
- Perform own setups.
- Check dimensions of parts & hold tolerance according to print specs.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to check dimensions of the part according to blueprint, by using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, fixtures and gauges.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
- Other duties, as may be required from time to time.
- Vocational technical high school diploma, apprenticeship training program, or community college/technical school training program
- 1 to 3 years of experience on a lathe
- Highly dependable with an excellent attendance record is required
Additional Information
Hours: M-F, 7:00 am - 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Position Type: This is a full-time (non-exempt) position, overtime may be required, as needed.
