Summary
Bay Street Greenery is looking for an enthusiastic Dispensary Manager who leads by example and has a true passion for cannabis. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our upscale establishment while ensuring compliance with all regulatory laws and company protocols. This role requires a blend of business acumen and a deep understanding of the cannabis industry to provide a luxury experience for our clientele. You will lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service, manage inventory, maintain an aesthetically pleasing store environment, and drive sales strategies. Your leadership will be crucial in cultivating an inclusive atmosphere, educating customers about premium cannabis products, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and service that define the Bay Street Greenery retail experience and brand.
Leadership

Retail Operations
- Ensure adequate managerial coverage for the opening and closing of the Dispensary.
- Work with the General Manager on team-level professional development and sales goals.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure a seamless and exceptional customer experience.
- Oversee the completion and submission of all necessary reports including end-of-day, inventory audits, reconciliations, and other reports required by the General Manager.
- Cultivate an environment that is welcoming, educational, and aligned with our luxury brand ethos.
- Analyze customer feedback and service metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Address customer concerns and feedback with the utmost professionalism and care.
- Develop new ongoing initiatives in the dispensary consistent with company branding and marketing initiatives.
- Implement and maintain company standards of store presentation and product merchandising.
- Conduct daily store reviews by talking to employees and customers and identifying and resolving urgent issues.
- Oversee cash management and financial operations, including register counts, drops, and consolidations.
- Assist in daily, monthly, and annual inventory counts and audits.
- Manage product inventory levels across all departments.
- Ensure there is zero inventory shrinkage or out of stocks.
- Oversee day-to-day vendor relations and deliveries.
Compliance
- Maintain the integrity and security of the dispensary by allowing only authorized personnel into the dispensary and ensuring all products are stored appropriately.
- Prevention of diversion by following and enforcing company standard operating procedures pursuant to Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) regulations.
- Uses the Point-of-Sale system correctly to ensure all relevant information is recorded and tracked accurately.
- Develop and oversee training programs to educate staff on cannabis products, industry trends, and legal requirements.
- Understand that compliance is the backbone of operating a successful dispensary license
Development Goals
- Retail startup: Planning for staffing through phased opening.
- Ensure POS and cash management systems are efficient and in working condition.
- Develop and refine current SOPs to ensure operational excellence.
- Develop and lead monthly team meetings to ensure high morale and team cohesion.
- Create organizational development and employee training programs.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain approval by the NJ CRC.
- Age 21 or older as required by the NJ CRC.
- Knowledge of New Jersey cannabis industry and guidelines set forth by NJ CRC.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with strict deadlines, schedules, and regulations
- Understanding and familiarity with Metrc and Flowhub.
- Powerful leadership skills and business orientation.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with an eye on process optimization.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
