What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Manager position at BayCare Clinic?
BayCare Clinic is looking for a Business Development Manager to work closely with our Business Development team as well as our Eye Specialists team. In this role you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining successful market-appropriate business sales/development for the clinic while maintaining a strong working relationship with providers and community members. This position is full time, 40 hours a week Monday-Friday primarily housed in our Corporate Headquarters along with time spent at BayCare Clinic Eye Specialists.

Duties:
- Identifies, negotiates and manages strategic business development initiatives.
- Working with the Business Development/Marketing team, plans, coordinates and implements all market introductions and business development activities.
- Acts as liaison between referring providers and Clinic physicians, management and staff.
- Provides support to all existing BCC referral sources and any sources of business in all geographic locations.
- Works collaboratively with business development, marketing and operational staff to develop new referral sources for all BCC specialty providers.
- Has a working understanding of regional market issues, including but not limited to third party payer mix, demographic mix, and all other factors that influence the business of BCC specialty providers.
- Provides measurements and metrics for gauging success of the position.
- Maintains a working knowledge of various state and federal regulations affecting health care and the development of new clinic sites.
- Periodically coordinates clinic community events.
- In an efficient and effective manner, acts as a liaison to communicate necessary information regarding outreach site development to Finance and Operational departments.
Qualifications/Certifications/Licensure Needed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare, business, business development or related field, or equivalent experience required.
- Strong background in health care and/or insurance preferred.
- Experience in event planning or coordination is preferred.
- Must be a self-starter and have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of MS Office and other related software.
- Adaptability to change is required.
