Health Safety Intern
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
- Become familiar with Lock Out Tag Out Regulations and Program. Validate Equipment Specific Procedures
- Assist with Machine Guard Assessments to confirm compliance
- Become familiar with Confined Space Regulations and Program, audit Facilities Inventory and confirm Hazard Assessments
- Assist with "Alternative Controls" Safe Access to Machinery Program
- Digitalization of High-Risk Work Permits (Confined Space, Excavation, Aerial Lift, Elevated Work, Hot Work, Mobile Crane, Breaking into Pipelines)
- Job Safety Analysis Program Support
- Documentation and file storage administrative support

Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene and/or Environmental Engineering/Compliance.
- Completion of college Sophomore or Junior Year
- Classes completed in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental Engineering/Compliance will be beneficial.
- Ability to work within a team environment and semi independently after receiving direction on work projects.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to learn new software programs
- Organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
