What are we looking for?

Required Skills:

• Academic background in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting or a related discipline.
• Good first understanding of capital markets and institutional clients in particular, internship in CIB and Coverage in particular will be valued
• Ability to network / connect with key internal stakeholder (Risk, GM, GTB, IB&F)

Language skills:

• Fluent in German and English. Spanish will be valued

Soft skills:

• Strong customer orientation and analytical skills

Overview

Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) handles BBVA's investment banking, global markets, global lending and transactional businesses for international and domestic corporate and institutional clients. BBVA CIB is a full-service provider of high value-added products and thanks to its proven business model it can deliver solutions for the most complex needs of its clients anywhere in the world.

The Institutional Client Group is composed of 40 bankers distributed across BBVA’s main hubs in Europe, Americas and Asia.
The role reports to the Senior Bankers in the Financial Institution Group in Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Global/Local Bankers in the commercial management with the clients, taking part occasionally in meetings, calls, etc.
• Generate presentations for client meetings or other types of material pertaining to specific business proposals or general marketing
• Provide analyses and reports on different topics such as companies’ financials, statistics pertaining to a specific industry/sector or country, etc.
• Liaise with CIB product units in order to get detailed information about products and services to draw up reports and analyses
• Assist the Global/Local Bankers in the preparation of client account plans, business plans, budgets and credit proposals
• Closely collaborate with the Commercial Office in sourcing market information, preparing reports, benchmarking analyses, credentials, etc. Also, help to solve incidences related to the registration and modification of customers in BBVA’s client management tools
• Register, modify and update business opportunities in the in-house client management tools and data sources
• Monitor client activity and profitability through in-house client management tools and data sources
• Stay abreast of the specific regulatory frameworks that may affect the sector in which he/she is specialized
• Report to the Global/Local Bankers on a periodic and ad-hoc basis. Evaluate main performance indicators such as: deals in pipeline, client penetration, hit ratio, revenues, etc.
