Duties:Manage multiple case files successfully in a busy environment.Draft, prepare, and handle pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda.Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions.Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency.Prepare and take depositions of parties and experts.Review client documents, draft case evaluations, and status report correspondence.Assist in trial preparation and trial.Assist with and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances. Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in Louisiana.Licensure in Mississippi and other additional state admissions is a plus. Experience:3-5 years of experience in insurance defense, premise liability defense, worker’s compensation, and/or product liability defense. Skills:Strong legal research and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail with superb organization and prioritization skills.Ability to move efficiently from case to case.Knowledge of both state and federal court procedures.
