The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in mediation, significant trial experience, and a solid ability to research and analyze complex legal issues. This role involves significant client interaction, marketing efforts, and active engagement in the firm's growth and community presence.Duties and Responsibilities:Successfully mediate employment law disputes.Represent clients in significant and complex trials.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex issues.Draft memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents.Market personal and firm services to prospective clients.Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies in preparation for litigation.Conduct due diligence in all legal matters.Communicate effectively with clients, including empathetic listening.Manage schedules to allow for consultations and achieve production/collection objectives.Close consultations with a 30-50% success rate, depending on the practice area.Approve invoices in a timely to maintain monthly business health.Ensure support staff are fully utilized and productive.Accurately update client case management systems with fees, engagements, trust accounts, client information, invoices, etc.Share work tasks with other attorneys and support staff to meet community service objectives.Actively expand personal and firm brand through blogs, social media posts, board participation, and other organizational activities.Seek positive client feedback and star reviews.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Requirements:Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.Strong legal research skills.Strong communication and advocacy skills.Competence in empathetic listening.5 years of experience as an employment attorney.Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the Montana Bar.Education:Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.Certifications:Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the Montana Bar.Skills:Mediation and trial experience.Legal research and analysis.Excellent writing and drafting skills.Marketing and client engagement.Electronic and hard copy discovery.Due diligence.Client communication and empathetic listening.Time management and scheduling.Invoicing and case management.Job Location:Whitefish, MTBenefits Offered:Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.401(k) plan with company matching.Unlimited PTO for Vacation/Sick days.Paid Federal Holidays.Up to 16 hours of Paid Volunteer Time Off annually.
