Job Description Summary
Under the Supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor this position is primarily responsible for ensuring the manufacturing of ePTFE vascular grafts, stent grafts, and seeker to include ensuring work is done in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Processes, (CGMPs) and ISO 9000. This position is responsible for monitoring and directing manufacturing personnel in areas of production to meet department daily and monthly goals.Job Description

Essential / Key Job Responsibilities (including supervisory and/or fiscal):
Performs and leads various processes for manufacturing, packaging and QC Physical/Visual which are primarily done in a clean room environment
Manages multiple and varied responsibilities in a fast-passed manufacturing environment with minimal supervision
Follow standard operating procedures and CGMPS
Must be able to operate all machines and have a thorough understanding of all manufacturing processes
Accurately complete device history records associated paperwork and enter batch information into computer data base in compliance with CGMP’s and ISO 9001
Serve as an indirect supervisor for all operators providing guidance on manufacturing processes and procedures
Act as the Safety Ambassador, promoting safety at all times, and ensuring employees perform all job tasks in a safe manner wearing appropriate protective personal equipment (PPE)
Must understand day to day operations and assist production in daily problem solving using a “hands on” approach
Train new employees
Manage and control inventory
Update production boards
Utilize small hand tools and/or precision devices to aid in the manufacturing processes
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
Perform back-up duties for positions in manufacturing, as needed
Adhere to all company rules and policies
Assist with Work Order prioritization and the reporting of work in progress (WIP) status
Shift resources as necessary to best support the build plan and customer priorities
Ensure workflow on the shop floor and prevent occurrences of aged WIP
Manages multiple responsibilities within manufacturing environment
Indirect supervision of direct labor
Other duties, as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be detail oriented and possess critical thinking skills
Must be able to take initiative and work independently
Must be an effective team member with ability to lead others toward common goals
Maintain and foster a positive work environment
Keen attention to detail
Ability to adapt to change
Understand regulatory environment including GMPs and ISO 9000
Computer literacy required
Preferred Qualifications:
Clean room experience
Lead experience
Trainer experience
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Five years manufacturing experience
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to verbally communicate with other associates. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
