The Acute Care Marketing Manager will lead the Capital Equipment product category. This US Region role will play a crucial role in developing Acute Care’s Smart, Connected Care strategy through the launch and growth of a new piece of capital equipment in 2023. This role plays an important part in developing and driving the product portfolio strategy and contributing to the Acute Care business goals - achieving the desired financial performance through comprehensive and timely market development, portfolio management and execution of key marketing programs. This is a high visibility position managing the innovative, disruptive portfolio of capital equipment and associated disposables into the Acute Care hospital market.
Reporting to the Associate Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager will work and collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups including Global Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service and R&D. This role supports BD Acute Care’s US business.
About the role:
As Capital Equipment Marketing Manager, you will have a strong commercial aptitude, will contribute to the Annual Strategy Review (ASR) process, and have shared responsibility in the development of analytical tools that support the portfolio. This role will lead product launch activity for the US region including launch planning and execution, product documentation, and category lifecycle management to support accelerated growth of the product portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead launch of new products into new category critical to acute patient care
- Develop commercial strategies to achieve business objectives
- Manage all aspects of the product lifecycle for the assigned product portfolio
- Lead the development and deployment of marketing campaigns
- Provide accurate product forecasting to demand planning
- Create Market Shaping strategies
- Maintain revenue forecasts within assigned categories
- Develop and maintain quantitative market knowledge (e.g., market data, market trends, competitor pricing) and qualitative market data (e.g., customer needs, competitor activities, plans, technologies, and applications)
Education and experience required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or science. MBA is strongly desired
- 3-5 years of relevant marketing and/or commercial experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or other healthcare field
- Downstream Marketing experience preferred
- Capital Equipment Marketing experience preferred
- Experience managing and leading cross-functional teams is preferred
