What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assurance Specialist II position at BDO USA, LLP?
Job Summary:
The Assurance Specialist II is responsible for providing administrative support and basic accounting transaction support for the Assurance practice.
Job Duties:
- Assists with basic financial statement preparation and account reconciliations
- Participates in basic audit preparation
- Interacts with internal team to gain information, documents and data necessary to complete assigned tasks
- Performs basic bookkeeping for clients including creating trial balances
- Communicates significant issues to BSC Assurance Lead or Management
- Uses software programs to organize, coordinate and process using tools that include but are not limited to BDO's Audit Processing Tool, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF
- Meets internal deadlines to match the internal client expectations for timely delivery of service and ensures data is collected and processed in a timely manner to comply with payment deadlines and filing requirements
- Data maintenance/management
- Complies with all Firm policies, standards and Assurance client procedures
- Other duties as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent, required
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field, preferred
Experience:
- Internship / work study or one (1) year of experience performing general accounting functions or equivalent, preferred
License/Certifications:
- N/A
Software:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, required

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
Range: $19.00/hr - $25.00/hr
