Job purpose
The Pricing Analyst role will support Beacon’s North Division operations by enabling and driving the execution of pricing strategies through analysis. This position will partner with Branch and District managers, Supply Chain, and other key functions to provide strategic pricing analysis and robust insights to drive and deliver executional pricing excellence.
Duties and responsibilities
- Leverage internal tools and systems capabilities to build and communicate best practice solutions
- Become a subject matter expert (SME) in pricing analytics and reporting
- Partner with branch and district managers on pricing decisions and implementation of pricing initiatives
- Partner with sales team on establishing customer pricing and ensuring system is updated
- Work with Supply Chain ensuring cost changes are executed in system
- Report on Pricing Key Performance Indicators for the business
- Develop reporting packages to guide and drive strategic decisions
- Analyze price relationships between products
- Partner with LOB management teams to create profitable pricing strategies
- Recommend revenue drivers and identify GM leakage areas
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in related field of study preferred
- 3 - 5 years related industry experience
- Experience with Tableau or Microsoft BI is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to perform and adapt in a changing environment
- Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter
- Ability to effectively communicate with and influence multiple levels in the organization
- Proficient skill with Personal Computer Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of business acumen, financial concepts, and procedures
Working conditions
- Minimal travel requirements as needed for business purposes
- Working space will be in a quiet open environment seated within a cubical
- Work assignments may be completed remotely and/or available company offices/branches within respective markets
Physical requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and/or keyboard
- Heavy methods of verbal and auditory communication via phone, virtual calls, and/or email
