What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Director position at Beacon Building Products?
The Regional Sales Director is responsible for leading the sales and organic growth strategy across the Florida Region, which encompasses 25 locations across the state. This position directly leads a team of District Sales Managers and Outside Sales Representative across the entire Region. Working hand in hand with the Regional Vice President, the primary focus of the Regional Sales Director will be deploying strategies related to share gain and ensuring that we have the strongest and most professional sales team in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of Sales Managers and Outside Sales Representatives to drive profitable growth and achievement of monthly / yearly sales and margin budgets.
- Promote a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
- Recruit, develop, and retain sales teams to ensure organizational capability to deliver sales and service objectives.
- Work with Divisional and Regional leadership to develop sales budgets, pricing strategies and territory design.
- Leverage business reports to develop strategies, direct work and make good business decisions.
- Review and optimize the activity levels of the sales team to ensure the proper frequency of customer touch points, coaching, and planning are taking place.
- Manage the coordination of sales efforts in a way that integrates the local markets with national accounts, call center and Beacon’s omni-channel offering.

- Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years of field sales leadership experience
- Bilignual strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in a variety of sales concepts, practices, and procedures
- Distribution, building supply or multi-location retail experience preferred
- Proven experience leading and developing a sales team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong business acumen and the ability to add strategic value at the leadership table
- A track record of building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, vendors, and employees
- Strong ability to work in changing environment, see through complexity
- Personal integrity and exemplary ethical standards
- Ability to interpret and administer policies and procedures consistently and objectively
- Willingness to travel up to 75%.
