What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Pre-Employment Services position at Beacon Group?
BACKGROUND: Since 1952, Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona, Phoenix and beyond. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Beacon serves over 2 ,000 people with disabilities each year. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist the more than two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. POSITION INTRODUCTION: We seek a caring and dedicated person who will work with adults with disabilities. The Manager of Pre-Employment Services oversees the pre-employment / transition services programs, including, but not limited to DTA, CBE, and WOLVES programming.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a caseload of assigned clients.
- Design plans around client strengths, rights, needs, preferences, and choices.
- Develop, coordinate and implement Individual Support Plans (ISP).
- Facilitate effective ISP team meetings.
- Develop strategies for implementing training goals & objectives.
- Advocate for client to make progressive moves.
- Prepare monthly progress reports for referral sources.
- Monitor progress and continued relevancy of training objectives.
- Ensure that annual and semi-annual ISPs are current.
- Maintain positive, working relationships with referral sources, coworkers, families, etc.
- Consult with work supervisors regarding work assignments to maximize evaluation and development of client capabilities.
- Counsel and support clients in distress while helping to develop better self-management skills.
- Orient new clients, participants, families to the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitation, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related field. An additional 5 years of experience working with people with disabilities, and/or managing programs may be approved in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience in working with people with disabilities for at least two years.
- Ability to write reports, analyze situations, and develop systems is required.
- Must have valid AZ driver's license Provide proof of good driving.
- Successfully pass a drug screening and background check throughout employment.
- CPR/First Aid certification, or able to obtain and maintain a CPR/ First Aid Certification.
- Fingerprint clearance card, or able to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card.
- Article IX and Prevention and Support certificate or able to obtain and maintain certification.
- Obtain and maintain Benefits Counseling certification such as CWIC or WIP-C.
- Obtain and maintain Customized Employment certification such as ACRE.
- Obtain and maintain CARF Surveyor Accreditation.
- Obtain and maintain Prevention and Support Training Instructor Certification from the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities.
- Obtain and maintain Article 9 Training Instructor Certification from the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Proficiency in accurate, clear, and informative case note writing.
WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE: Full-Time Monday-Friday 7:30-4pm.
