Job Description
REMOTE ROLE.
NOTE: THIS IS A CONTRACT TO HIRE POSITION. CLIENT WILL NOT SPONSOR WORK VISA.
One of our clients in Los Angeles area is looking for a BI Developer with the following skills and experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop semantic data models in Power BI and Analysis Services
- Build dashboard reports in Power BI
- Develop and maintain paginated reports and tabular datasets
- Participate in data management and data quality initiatives
- Maintain business partner relationships, and stay current on data technologies
- Monitor conformance to data standards for quality, security, and data lineage
- Develop and execute test plans that confirm data correctness
- Follows change management policies and procedures
- Resolve incidents and problems in data platforms as they arise
Required Skills and Attributes
- Minimum 5 years of work experience delivering solutions in the Microsoft stack of BI and reporting tools
- Expert in: SQL, PowerQuery/M, DAX
- Advanced semantic data modelling
- Successful member of cross-functional teams who can communicate equally as well with a database administrator as a business analyst
- Keen listening, written and verbal skills. Provides clear, concise, and complete communications
- Independent worker who can collaborate with geographically distributed teammates
- Fast learner when facing new problems and situations; thrives when challenged
- Effective problem-solving ability and strong analytical skills; can see underlying or hidden problems and patterns; looks beyond the obvious
- Ability to travel when necessary to collaborate with project teams, business partners, and BTech teammates
