Job purpose
The primary purpose of our Digital Sales Specialist is to serve as the front-line driver of all aspects digital for Beacon to new and existing customers. This primarily includes Beacon Pro and 3D along with all other integrated 3rd party platforms. PRO allows the customer to get more work done remotely and efficiently. The platform provides access to 24/7 Online Ordering, Delivery Tracking, Online Bill Pay, Order History, Promotion Tracking, Estimating Tools, and so much more. The Digital Sales Specialist will educate the customers in the assigned market by establishing customer relationships and developing customer technology capabilities by influencing and demonstrating the benefits of all things digital Beacon has to offer to customers.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of Beacon’s digital solutions and the benefits to customers and internal employees
- Provide on-site customers utilization and adoption of Beacon’s digital solutions software platforms
- Support local sales staff/ride-a-longs each week as needed
- Troubleshoot customer & internal employee inquiries and reach for help within Beacon’s digital solutions when needed
- Employ consultative selling and establish a trusted advisor relationship to determine the customer’s needs, create engagement, alignment, desire, and acceptance of technology platforms
- Provide customer insights to team members to help evolve our digital offerings and improve the customer experience
- Provide training of digital solutions platform for customers and internal employees
- Drive change that enables to the customer to develop and grow their business more efficiently
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Highly developed interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
- Exceptional multi-tasking capabilities y, while always ensuring the customer is the top priority
- Ability to use technology and common software and web applications, including MS office and Salesforce. Must have a high comfort level with technology
- Comfortable with regular travel throughout the local marketplace
Working conditions
- Regular travel requirements as needed for business purposes
- Daily/weekly travel within assigned Market
- Limited overnight travel for Tradeshows and Customer/Beacon Events
- Work assignments may be completed remotely and/or available company offices/branches within respective markets
Physical requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and/or keyboard
- Heavy methods of verbal and auditory communication via phone, virtual calls, and/or email
