Gamemaster Position Summary: The primary focus of Gamemaster is to provide an exceptional and enjoyable experience for our current and potential customers even before they enter our doors. The successful Gamemaster must be reliable, welcoming, able to create a pleasant environment, be knowledgeable about escape rooms, and provide the highest level of hospitality to those around them to deliver a fun, safe experience.
Responsibilities:
Greet and acknowledge our customers, by using their name and demonstrating a welcoming attitude.
Able to safely lift and move objects around a room up to 25lbs
Able to memorize multiple 1-2 paragraph introductions and game rules and present them, in character, to a group of strangers.
Ability to focus on watching, listening and documenting customer group’s experience for up to 90 minutes at a time.
Able to actively engage with our customers, to enhance their escape room experience.
Promote a safe and clean environment, which include but are not limited to the following duties: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and disinfecting the lobby, office, cleaning and sanitizing escape rooms, work areas and bathrooms.
Able to follow and / or memorize directions to properly put all of the objects in an experience back into their starting locations.
Able to handle lock basic hardware that include but are not limited to: Key Locks, combination locks, and electronic locks, locking doors, drawers and cabinets.
Basic computer skills that include but are not limited to: able to log in, open and use applications, fill in questionnaires and input basic spreadsheet data.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to manage customer bookings, cancellations and rebookings.
Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone.
Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Theater/RPG experience is a plus.
Must be able to create a fun, exciting entertaining experience for our guests.
Must have great problem-solving skills.
Must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
Basic to intermediate mathematical skills are required.
Receptive to requests and proactive to our customers’ needs
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and work well with others.
Must be able to handle difficult and sensitive issues well, and know when to escalate a matter to a manager.
Must demonstrate reliability in schedule adherence. This includes meal or rest periods, requests to leave early, late arrivals and must have minimal unscheduled or unplanned time off (except protected leaves or due to extenuating circumstances).
Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
