What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Mgr position at Beaumont Services Center?

In collaboration with senior leadership, the Business Manager provides direct oversight and management of key administrative, financial, operational planning and business development initiatives. Coordinates best practices, including manpower planning, contract management, marking coordination, and other duties as directed. Directs resource management related to the technical, business and information aspects of the assigned departments, including financial and data integrity.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


1. Coordinates business and growth strategies across the system, including manpower planning and recruitment


2. Monitors, compares, analyzes and reports financial and operating performance. Identifies indicators for variances(s), provides solutions to address variances and implements plans


3. Responsible for tracking and monitoring capital, analyzing and making recommendations for staffing modifications, facilities and other resources


4. Identifies clear lines of communication and integration between all divisions


5. Supports management activities by providing both data and analysis of data regarding the financial and operational activities of the department


6. Supports and enhances departmental revenue activities


7. Formulates, recommends and initiates process improvement activities


8. Provides ad hoc report development support

5. Supports and participates in a collaborative team-oriented environment – cooperates and works together with all co-workers, plans and completes job duties, uses appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations and follows up as appropriate regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns.

6. Supports, cooperates with and demonstrates safe work practices and attitudes, follows safety rules – including universal precautions - reports and prevents/corrects unsafe conditions and behaviors, and participates in organizational and departmental safety programs.

7. Completes all required compliance standards that may be department specific and/or identified by the organization.

8. Maintains current licensure, registration and/or certification, as applicable, at all times.


STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education/ Training:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration required, master’s degree preferred.

B. Work Experience:


  • (3) years in hospital operations required

C. Certification, Licensure, Registration:


  • None

D. Other Qualifications:


  • Excellent analytical, communication, strategic planning, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Strong financial acumen. Proficient in databases and excel. Team orientation with the ability to integrate and engage all stakeholders in business processes.

  • Prolonged periods of walking and standing, presenting and communicating.

B. Work Environment:


  • Work is performed in a typical office environment with minimal exposure to hazards
