Job Summary:

We are looking for dynamic “Front of House” leader who knows how to build and maintain high performing team members. A person driven to create a truly memorable experience for our guest and members through world class service. The ideal candidate has a passion for guest service, attention to detail and a desire to collaborate, learn and grow.

The assistant manager is responsible for ensuring a superior guest experience through excellent food and hospitality. This position will support the general manager and the kitchen team by organizing, planning, and directing all aspects of the dining room operations. The assistant manager must work closely with the general manager in bringing the Beano’s Cabin service vision forward to the staff and guests and have a passion to lead, train, and develop our front of house service team talent.


What you’ll do:

  • Lead a high performing service team and maintain excellence & hospitality throughout each day’s specific service periods
  • Delivers consistent execution of service and timely flow of service by directing the team and ensuring an effectively expedited service
  • Educate dining room service staff on all aspects of food menu & service and beverage including wine procedures through training, pre-meal and staff presentation
  • Perform standard operational duties including meeting company compliance standards and ordering ingredients/supplies to ensure consistent operations
  • Fosters a positive, collaborative work environment for both the service and kitchen teams, ensuring clear communication at all times
  • Ensure that all service food and beverage execution meet restaurant's specifications and commitment to hospitality excellence.
  • Ensure that front of house operations are kept clean, safe and up to all “A” level health code standards. Lead the service team to ensure all team members are appropriately trained to execute the assigned station properly
  • Provides feedback and guidance with excellence and hospitality in mind, ensuring that all team members have a pathway for growth and development
  • Consistently looks for internal and external opportunities to build our growing team
  • Stay abreast of current market trends and be able to pivot and execute new and creative ideas to enhance the member and guest experience


Job Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years restaurant experience
  • 1 years supervising 10 or more people
  • ServSafe, Valid Driver’s license
  • Basic Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • English fluency and Spanish preferred, but not required
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
  • Minimum of 1 years in a full service fine dining restaurant

Preferred:

  • Past use of computerized purchasing system


Job Responsibilities:

  • Completes management reports pertaining to revenue accounting, tip disbursements and recording, scheduling, ordering products and equipment, payroll, inventory and keeping daily manager logs.
  • Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times and fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
  • Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.
  • Oversees service personnel; coordinates their assignments to ensure economical & timely guest service.
  • Accurately schedules staff to business level based on forecast and labor cost objectives.
  • Order and maintain inventory control of Restaurant dining and bar products.
  • Conducts necessary self-audits as needed and in a timely manner.


The budgeted range starts at $43,000 - $49,450. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
