What You'll Do:
The IT Business Analyst provides valuable insight and expertise to all aspects of our business' soft-, firm-, and hardware infrastructure. The Business Analyst will identify areas for improvement within the business; research and strategize solutions; and implement, master, and support software and technology solutions. This position assists in the implementation and ongoing support for both existing and new software and technologies. Experience with our current software is helpful, but more important will be an ability to analyze, compare, and conduct in-depth research on existing and new software solutions to optimize efficiency, reliability, and profitability while reducing risk and exposure.
The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of full-service hotels/resorts and food & beverage operations; be able to come up with creative and novel solutions to support business functions; and keep up with multiple time-sensitive projects at once. They must be flexible and highly dynamic, able to deeply understand the background processes and systems that allow the business to function as well as where opportunities may lie. This position is located on-premises in Breckenridge, CO. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility.
Position starts at $78,000/yr DOE Discretionary Annual Bonus
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Partner with IT Manager and other strategic business partners to obtain and implement technology solutions
- Identify, track and resolve the issues, risks or road blocks associated with project implementation
- Form presentations and communications and be able to adapt them to different audiences and stakeholders
- Provide project management including but not limited to: establish critical paths, milestones, delivery dates, communication plan, technical specifications, planning and scope of work to ensure projects meet acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with IT team members to amalgamate new and existing technologies
- Integrate, document and offer continued support for existing and new software solutions
- Establish project test strategy, methodologies and testing plans as well as assist with testing execution
- Assist in training platform superusers
What You'll Bring:
- 3 years professional business analyst experience - required
- Prior experience working in hotel, resort, or food & beverage operations - preferred
- Working knowledge of Hotel Management, Point of Sales, Security, Accounting/Financial, and Personnel Management software - preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - preferred
- Proficiency in written and spoken English - required
