Project Overview
Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. Bechtel will design and build Phase 1 of the Ohio One project, a total of 2.5 million square feet, including 600,000 square feet of cleanrooms. Construction will require as much steel as eight Eiffel Towers and as much concrete as the tallest skyscrapers. Bechtel will strengthen future economic development in the region by partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline.
Position Summary
SETROUTE/TW Administrator at the Ohio One Project, plans & conducts independent work to implement Setroute and TW in conjunction with Electrical and Control Systems functional management and project ‘Start-up’ groups.
Responsibilities
- Develops & maintains standardized cable coding, raceway coding, and stock coding databases for application across projects.
- Prepares procedures for implementation of Setroute on projects.
- Participates in project reviews and acts as a point of contact for project personnel to resolve implementation issues during project.

- Participates in companywide workshops involving the use and application of Setroute
- Conducts and/or arranges Setroute training for project personnel.
- Performs work using Setroute in conjunction with other Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
- Develops methods for integrating data from 3D models, Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Instrument Specification (InSpec),
- exporting to Material take-off (MTO) and Bechtel Procurement System (BPS) & quantity tracking packages
- Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of cost estimates quantity take-offs, staffing requirements for proposals forecasts, and change orders.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Advanced use of Setroute and related BSAPs (e.g. 3D CAD packages, TeamWorks, MTO, SPI, InSpec and BPS)
- Must be able to configure Setroute from scratch and able to customize cable and raceway codes to project needs, set service levels, and integrate work from third party engineering organizations.
- High proficiency in database manipulation
- High proficiency and familiarity with cable, raceway manufacturing and installation practices
- Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project
- Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferable to have knowledge of Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), industry, regulatory standards, design criteria and codes relevant to the discipline.
- Preferable to have knowledge of procedures used for the procurement and quantity control of bulk materials applicable to the discipline.
- Preferable to have worked in a Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) environment.
