OUR MISSION:
To foster a love for swimming and a respect for water in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.
OUR PROGRAM & INSTRUCTORS:
Beginners2Swimmers is a traveling swim school. Instructors will be asked to teach at-home and residential lessons, and will therefore be expected to have reliable transportation. Instructors will be asked to understand the curriculum and teach to a clearly defined standard. Beginners2Swimmers Instructors are expected to be inclusive, friendly, and accepting at all times while interacting with swimmers, parents, families, and coworkers. Instructors will be given necessary equipment, and will be responsible for all pieces of equipment included.
Requirements:
Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid Certified. (Don't have these? No problem! Discounted Red Cross certifications and training provided!)
Reliable transportation.
Swimming background.
Positive attitude.
Enjoys working with people and children.
Child friendly.
Ability to be flexible and communicate.
Must be able to squat, bend, lift, and carry 15lbs.
Must be able to swim, walk, and run comfortably.
Must have an acceptable range of motion in the arms and legs to adequately progress and support the lesson.
Preferred:
Highschool diploma/GED
WSI certification
1 season of swim instructing experience
1 year of instructing experience in any field
Previous experience working with children
This position is responsible for teaching children of all ages in water safety, swimming proficiency, and water comfort.
Routine Responsibilities:
Deliver swim lessons in a friendly and inviting manner.
Travel to and from lessons.
Follow all Beginners2Swimmers rules and regulations.
Communication with parents and children in a friendly and inviting manner.
Make sure children are always being safe and that they understand the rules.
Responsible for maintaining and ensuring you hold onto all equipment issued to you.
Keep supervisor informed on needs for equipment and equipment maintenance.
Communicate in GroupMe or to your supervisor directly with any questions or concerns on skills and teaching in a timely manner.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
