Job description
The Behavior & Language Treatment Center, located in Lindale, TX, is a long-term care facility specializing in behavioral health. We care for individuals in group settings and in the individual's home. BLTC serves individuals with Autism spectrum disorder who are in need of positive, specific behavior interventions using Applied Behavior Analysis and associated therapies. Some of the clients engage in problem behaviors (ex. harmful to self, aggression, non-compliant), however, paid safety care training is provided annually and periodically. BLTC is seeking ambitious, caring, and motivated individuals for this position.
Training will be provided for all duties.
- Assists with daily living activities such as grooming, eating, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Assists with meal planning, preparation and housekeeping
- Assists with ambulation and mobility as needed
- Provides transportation
- Assists with medications and the performance of RN delegated tasks
- Supervises and assures of individuals’ health, safety, and security
- Community outings
- Maintains regular attendance and timeliness in duties
- Maintains good work and personal ethics in dealing with co-workers and resident consumers
- Reports any problems, proposed program changes, behavior of individuals served, concerns, training needs, medical concerns, dietary issues, etc
- Ensures documentation of behaviors, incidents and injuries, program data collection, medication data, and progress notes are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Accepts direction and feedback from supervisors and follows through appropriately Available shifts:
Full Time and Part-time Direct Care Shifts Available 6-2 or 2-10 Overnight Shifts 10 p. m. - 6 a.m. Weekend Shifts 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. or 2 p.m.-10 p.m.
- Pass a comprehensive background check including criminal history, Nurse Aid Registry, and Medicaid Waste, Fraud and Abuse.
- Possess a valid Driver's license and auto insurance.
- Possess High School Diploma or equal
