What We Are Looking For
An exceptional full-time/part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC OR CF) to join our speech team to work in our early intervention program as well as center-based (insurance) speech therapy. Someone with a passion for helping to help individuals living with autism or other intellectual disabilities build communication and social skills in various settings like home, school, and work. Available to work full-time 8:00am-5:00pm M-F or part-time. Shifts may vary.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide services in home setting and or clinic based setting
- Conduct Developmental Evaluations independently
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Behavior Analysts.
- Assess communication skills (e.g., articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility, and developing recommendations for treatment.
- Provides assessment of communication skills and oral motor function of preschool-aged children with developmental or physical disabilities referred to Early Childhood Program for speech and language services.
- Conduct standardized assessments using age-appropriate diagnostic tests.
- Provides intervention in the form of direct therapy (group or individual), consultation, monitoring, and/or written programs to facilitate the development of communication skills.
- Refer and recommend age-appropriate services.
- Provide both direct therapy and consultation services, while effectively communicating learners progress and needs with guardians and team members.
- Maintains confidentiality in accordance with organizational policies and procedures related to privacy.
- Follows standards of practice for the profession regarding safe application of assessment protocols, therapeutic techniques and techniques for direct handling of clients.
- Provide supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (if SLP-CCC)
- Design, develop, and employ alternative diagnostic or communication devices and strategies.
- Instruct clients and family members in strategies to cope with or avoid communication-related misunderstandings.
- Conduct lessons and direct educational or therapeutic games to assist teachers dealing with speech problems.
- Communicate with non-speaking students, using sign language or computer technology.
- Cross-train with Early Intervention Behavior Staff.
- Provide education and training on an on-going basis (weekly and monthly) to caregivers
What You Bring to the Table
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (CCC )
- Two or more years’ experience in the field of Speech Therapy (unless SLP-CF candidate)
- Two or more years’ experience working with children (ages 0-7) with autism spectrum disorder (preferably in home or school setting)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A high level of professionalism and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Spanish Speaking a plus!
