This is a full time, direct job with benefits. Great matching candidates will have several years of quality engineering experience within the aerospace industry; focused on MRB and non-conformances.
Quality Engineer job Duties:
* Determining and documenting the disposition of nonconforming hardware (e.g. Rework, refer to MRB repair, etc.)
* Interface with both local manufacturing technical teams and global design engineering teams on a regular basis.
* Suggest improvements based on repetitive Preliminary Review (PR's) and putting process improvements into effect for tooling, fixturing, gaging.
* Process improvement for reduction of MRB, losses & delinquency.
* Planning, print, fixture creation and approval as required
Quality Engineer Qualifications:
* 5 or more years of work experience within quality and manufacturing engineering
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processing methodology and non-conformances
* Proficient understanding of GD&T with ability to read blueprints, routers, prints, planners
* Ability to be a self-starter with potential for technical leadership and guidance
* Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
* Ability to successfully communicate & collaborate with the shop floor and engineering departments
* Legal authorization to work in the US: Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship or Green Card is required
Desired skills:
* Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering Degree
* Previous Preliminary Review (PR) Stamp desired
* Six Sigma or equivalent Quality training
* Experience with GE Aerospace parts and manufacturing
