Job Description :
Belle Plaine Block and Tile Inc. located in Belle Plaine MN, is seeking a motivated and physically capable individual for a full-time position that involves a combination of driving responsibilities and hands-on work in the production of concrete tanks, blocks, and tiles.
This multifaceted role requires a CDL Class A driver's license and experience in concrete, welding, and mechanical tasks.
Responsibilities :
1. Concrete Production :
o Assist in the production of concrete tanks, blocks, and tiles.
o Work with rebar, read blueprints, and perform welding tasks.
o Handle manual labor involving lifting, moving items up to 100 pounds, bending, climbing, standing, and walking.
2. Safe Vehicle Operation :
o Operate boom crane trucks, including monorail crane, boom crane, and knuckle crane.
o Ensure the safe loading, unloading, rigging, and delivery of various loads, including concrete tanks, blocks, and tiles.
o Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
o Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or heavy equipment.
o Ensure that all cargo is secure and properly loaded for transportation.
o Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents that occur during transportation.
3. Driving and Delivery Services :
o Valid driver's license with a clean driving record..
o Operate vehicles responsibly and efficiently for product delivery services.
o Operate Forklift (training provided)
4. Customer Interaction :
o Communicate effectively with contractors and customers.
o Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries or concerns professionally.
5. Teamwork and Flexibility :
o Work collaboratively within a family business environment.
o Communicate with dispatchers or supervisors to receive instructions or updates on delivery schedules.
o Participate in on-site training for production work, and assist experienced drivers as needed.
Qualifications :
- CDL Class A driver's license.
- Experience in concrete, welding, and mechanical tasks.
- Ability to operate boom crane trucks, including monorail crane, boom crane, and knuckle crane (training provided).
- Physically fit to handle manual labor.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Motivated with a positive personality.
- Flexibility to work variable hours.
- Spanish language proficiency is helpful.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
