Our practice is excited to add a veterinary office manager to our team! A successful veterinary office manager should be patient, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking. A veterinary office manager must be able to communicate effectively with pet owners and veterinary staff members as well as demonstrate exceptional management, organizational, and customer service skills. This position plays a vital role in the hospital by handling the day-to-day operations of the practice in order for the staff to provide the best level of veterinary care to our customers
Veterinary Office Manager Responsibilities:
- Preparing employee work schedules and managing the office staff.
- Ensuring all scheduled appointments have appropriate staffing with sufficient time.
- Basic HR-related issues and state, federal, local legal compliance of relevant employment law
- Answering telephone calls in a polite and professional manner.
- Promptly notifying the appropriate veterinary staff of emergency cases.
- Interviewing suitable office staff candidates and providing training to office employees as needed.
- Ensuring that pet owners' complaints are promptly addressed and resolved.
Veterinary Office Manager Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in business administration or related field is advantageous.
- Proven office experience.
- The ability to multitask.
- Excellent management, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
