Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for entering data and maintaining records related to vendor/business service invoices and payments. They will work closely with other accounting / administrative staff to ensure that daily tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and in a dynamic team work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verifies receipt of materials or services and accurately matches invoices, shipping documents, and other documentation necessary to process payment and distribute checks according to established procedures.
- Helps maintain the invoice and credit card platforms
- Enters data and maintains accounts payable files and records.
- Prepares all necessary reports.
- Verifies vendor statements and handles all correspondence involving accounts payable.
- Assists in the resolution of complaints between vendors, purchasing and sales staff.
- Maintains records, documents and reports in an organized and accessible manner.
- Prepares business service documents and maintains appropriate records.
- Helps maintain historical records for all accounts payable transactions.
- Assists with monthly and year-end close out procedures and records.
- Participates in training and instruction as directed.
- Performs all tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 years data processing experience.
- 1 year experience processing Accounts Payable in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to deal with vendors and staff in an efficient and professional manner.
- Possess strong computer skills and knowledge of how to use common office software programs.
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, in writing and verbally.
- Ability to make accurate arithmetic calculations.
- Ability to type with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Ability to work accurately and quickly under operational deadlines.
- Ability to generate audits of workflow with minimum direction.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and can adapt easily to change.
- Possess strong desire & ability to be punctual, reliable & dependable

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
