We are currently looking to hire a Chef to join our team in the Prepared Foods Department.
This position is a full-time position and the qualified candidate will report directly to the Head Chef.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the kitchen by managing other members of the food preparation team.
- Delegate tasks to members of team to ensure timely completion of tasks
- May assist in prep work, such as chopping vegetables, but more often will be involved in cooking specialty dishes as directed by the Head Chef
- Prepare food in a timely manner
- Preparing high quality dishes that Belmont Market is known for
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Proven work experience as a Chef
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
- Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques
- Leadership skills
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
- Excellent time management abilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
- Possess a passion to create quality and appetizing dishes
- Culinary school diploma preferred
- ServeSafe certificate required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A courteous and efficient approach to handling customer requests, questions, and complaints.
- Must be 18 years of age
