POSITION OVERVIEW:
As an entry-level Diesel Technician, you'll have the chance to learn and grow while performing a range of tasks, including:
- Inspection and lubrication of diesel engines
- Checking cab, frame, front axle, steering gear, and springs
- Brake system maintenance and repairs
- Clutch, transmission, and differential servicing
- Engine tune-ups, electrical inspections, and testing
- Trailer repairs and diagnostics
- Compiling complete parts lists
- Repairing damaged areas to industry standards
- Preparing surfaces for refinishing and color-matching paint
- 2 or fewer years of experience in diesel mechanics or a related field; more experience is a plus
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Basic knowledge of diesel engine systems and repair techniques
- Ability to work with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
