Assist crew members in daily tree care operations. Clean-up operations and any necessary assistance.
- Assist Trimmers and Foreman when needed.
- Control lowering ropes and supply tools for tree workers.
- Control road and sidewalk traffic as needed, using warning devices.
- Drive tree care equipment, spray truck and tow chipper.
- Provide quality customer service and proper job site cleanup.
- Maintain, prepare and use tools and equipment (hand tools, chainsaws and chippers).
- Comprehend and apply the Employee Safety Requirements. Understand and perform first aid. Act responsibly in emergency situations.
- Learn various aspects of tree care.

- Ability to obtain and select pertinent information through investigation, observation and questioning.
- Possess and utilize good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees and management.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must possess a valid California driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the Company's insurance carrier.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION'S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Ability to lift and carry, push and pull 20-50 pounds of landscape material and
equipment for up to 6½ hours daily.
2. Ability to lift and carry on your back a 30-pound blower 2-3 hours daily.
3. Ability to start and use all power equipment without aid from others.
4. Ability to walk, stand/squat/kneel up to 6½ hours daily.
5. Makes frequent repetitive movements with the left and right hand, wrist, ankle, and
knee.
6. Ability to twist/turn/bend the trunk of the body frequently.
7. Maintains equipment as required; upkeep and cleanup.
8. Performs similar job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. Ability to effectively understand and communicate with the manager and fellow crew
members.
2. California Drivers License insurability may be a requirement for specific service
locations limited in driver availability.
WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING THIS POSITION'S ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS:
1. Outdoor physical labor in temperatures ranging from cold 30° to heat of 100° and
exposure to light rain.
2. Exposure to dust, pollen, chemicals, noise, and pollutants related to the landscape
industry (fertilizer, pesticide, etc.).
3. Machinery/equipment noise, traffic, and hazards related to the landscape industry in a
busy commercial environment.
