The Opportunity
Benefactor Group is seeking its first dedicated marketing professional. Our growth over the last few years and our plans to continue this growth have made evident the need for a professional focused on our marketing needs.
The ideal candidate will bring proven marketing and communications experience, ideally in a professional services firm, nonprofit, or B2B role. They will be passionate about uplifting the important work of nonprofit organizations and interested in driving innovation in our storytelling to engage new audiences. They will be invested in the success of the firm overall and play a meaningful role in creating and executing strategies to drive our continued growth.

The Position
Plan Implementation
- Oversee the firm marketing plan.
- Collaborate with the Benefactor Leadership Team to align marketing strategies with company goals.
- Collaborate with the firm’s marketing vendor.
Content Marketing
- Manage content calendar and lead marketing meetings.
- Develop and implement content marketing (blogs, whitepapers, case studies, newsletters, etc.).
- Work with subject matter experts to create content.
- Optimize content for SEO and lead generation purposes.
- Manage the firm’s social presence.
- Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, PPC, and display advertising.
- Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics to measure effectiveness and ROI.
- Utilize marketing automation tools to streamline and enhance overall effectiveness.
Brand Management
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels and materials.
- Support creating and maintaining marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, lead magnets, and website content.
Website
- Update the website with new content.
- Manage website look and feel.
- Ensure the website is functional.
Sales Support
- Manage and distribute inbound leads and support consultants with follow up.
- Assist consultants with proposal and pitch deck design.
- Coordinate with service line leaders to support client acquisition and retention efforts.
Administration and Analysis
- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Analyze marketing campaign performance data and provide actionable insights.
- Prepare regular reports on marketing activities, results, and ROI.
- Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights to optimize performance.
Qualifications
Required
- B.A. or B.S. in relevant field or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in marketing, preferably within a professional services firm.
- Strong understanding and proven experience of B2B marketing principles and strategies.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with digital marketing and social media management.
- Proficiency in marketing software and tools, such as CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools.
- Graphic design sensibilities and comfort using basic tools for content creation and layout.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
Desired
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools.
- Experience with Salesforce, bit.ly, WordPress, LinkedIn.
- Experience or familiarity with nonprofit organizations and fundraising.
Compensation
The target annual compensation for this role is $60,000-$75,000, depending on experience. Benefactor Group is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance, HSA, firm-sponsored 401k, and generous PTO.
Reporting Relationship
Reports to the Sales and Marketing leader.
