Job Description:
Coordinates all aspects of a product or service offering project for an internal or external customer, from inception to installation. Installations may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment or enterprise software systems, or system integration or consulting projects/engagements. May require work at a customer site from time to time. Typically involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams. Project is typically focused on the delivery of new or enhanced products to improvement of customer satisfaction through the use of technology. Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key, but a strong technical background is often required to manage competing interests. Typically oversees schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment.
Responsibilities:
- Manages (a) one or more projects of large scope and/or high complexity or (b) a small program, providing guidance to project teams; may be assigned to high criticality projects; has regular internal and/or external stakeholder interaction.
- Recommends changes to policies that affect the business unit or the organization and identifies areas of improvements that could be made to procedures, policies or processes.
- Effectively speaks in front of large teams and communicates to senior and executive audiences in oral and written form.
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives.
- Is accountable to management based on meeting objectives and schedules.
- Frequently interacts with customers and/or functional peer group managers regarding projects between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company.
- Allocates project management resources and influences the allocation of non-project management resources; may participate in the development of funding proposals.
- Provides high-level coaching and mentoring to Associate Project Managers.
- Additional responsibilities, as required.
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 8-12 years related experience.
- Big 4 Program Management Experience.
- EBS Preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio.
