Job Summary:
The Learning & Development Leader is responsible for designing, developing, delivering, evaluating, and managing firmwide professional, career, and leadership development programs which align with Bennett Thrashers strategic plan.

Job Responsibilities and Activities (including but not limited to)
- Contribute to the vision of the firm to develop education journey maps and/or strategic plans by staff level and business unit/line of service
- Collaborate with People, Operations, and Leadership teams to design and produce training based on feedback and identified needs as part of ongoing evaluation each year for core, firmwide, technical and leadership skill curriculum
- Program design, content creation, and full execution (including facilitation) of initiatives that help accomplish strategic goals by each business unit (Advisory, Audit, Operations, and Tax).
- Work closely with the L&D champions within each department to measure the overall success of learning programs
- Attend and support technical training sessions to manage logistics, assess the instructional effectiveness, and determine the impact of training
- Negotiate and coordinate the use of outside training consultants to ensure they meet the training needs and effectiveness criteria established Bennett Thrasher. Coordinate content and logistics including material reproduction, registration, and evaluation
- Maintain internal Learning Management System including the input and maintenance of course information, monitoring registrations, reporting, and issuing certificates of completion
- Orient staff on LMS as part of the new hire orientation process and serve as trusted resource to the firm on all things learning & development
- Serve as advisor to coaches regarding career paths, goal setting and soft skills development for their coaches and provide regular feedback to instructors based on feedback from course surveys
- Monitor continuing education compliance for various licenses and certifications; assist with CPA application process; assist staff with out of state CPA reciprocity; monitor completion of requirements; report on a regular basis to department leaders on status
- Create and maintain a firmwide calendar and schedule for all planned annual internal and external trainings and conferences to ensure logistics are secured, calendars are locked in, discounts are utilized, and on-time registrations are completed
- Develop, implement, and maintain all learning and development policies, standards, processes, and tools while ensuring compliance with the firm regulatory CPE and NASBA requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven track record with specific examples of designing, developing, and delivering learning & development curriculum in a professional environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with professionals at all levels, both internally and externally
- Ability to work independently with expanding duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to work under pressure; maintain problem solving attitude
- Position requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy, and excellent presentation skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated experience and ability to influence, collaborate, and obtain buy-in/alignment across multiple levels of an organization
- Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguity, manage complexity, and prioritize work through cross-functional teams, changing and compressed timelines
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Education, Communication, or a related field
- 5 years in the Public Accounting/Professional Services environment focused on adult learning (technical & non-technical training)
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree or credentialing in instructional/learning design
- Public Accounting Firm experience a plus
