POSITION SUMMARY

The Landscaper / Irrigation is responsible for the completion of all tasks related maintenance and landscaping within Bentwater common areas.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

· Operate vehicles and powered equipment such as utility vehicles, mowers, tractors, chain saws, clippers, sod cutters, power washers and pruning saws

· Mow or edge common areas using power mowers or edgers/trimmers

· Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers or axes

· Care for common areas by mulching, weeding, trimming or edging around flower beds, walks or walls

· Prune or trim trees, shrubs or hedges using shears, pruners or chain saws

· Gather and remove litter

· Maintain structures such as buildings, fences or benches using hand or power tools

· Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides or insecticides onto grass, shrubs or trees using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders

· Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters or other common ground features

· Water common area trees or plants using portable sprinkler systems, hoses or water tanks

· Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds

· Follow planned landscaping designs for planting sod, sowing grass or planting flowers or foliage

· Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees or shrubs and apply mulch for protection using gardening tools

· Decorate common areas with stones or plants

· Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring

· Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste

· Install irrigation systems, retaining walls, fences and planters

· Conduct preparations for holidays and special events

· Clean and maintain all tools and equipment

· Ability to utilize available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines

· Ability to be self-motivated to perform tasks to the best of one’s ability

Education

· High School Diploma or equivalent – preferred

Experience

· 1 plus years of experience – preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
