Marine Sales Manager

Berkeley Outdoors, a locally owned and operated marine dealership in South Carolina, has an immediate opening for a full-time Sales Manager at their Columbia (SC) location. Business is picking up and this means increased earning potential for a new Sales Manager! The Sales Manager will be responsible for assisting customers with the purchase of new and pre-owned boats and off-road vehicles in person, by phone, and via email. The Sales Manager must provide top-notch service to customers in furtherance of Berkeley Outdoors’ commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate would have verifiable experience in sales and a thorough knowledge of boats and off-road vehicles. Knowledge of CRM software is a plus. Position is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Availability to work Saturdays, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, is also required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers by phone, internet, and in person with boat and off-road vehicle sales
• Assist Sales Consultants with sales responsibilities, follow up and closing deals.
• Work with Finance Department to get deals delivered.
• Answer incoming calls promptly, courteously and make every effort to answer customer questions
• Keep track of customers and leads via CRM software
• Work closely with the Service and Parts Departments to ensure that the customer’s expectations are met and exceeded at delivery
• Participate in all sales events as needed
• Additional responsibilities as needed within the Sales Department or company

Requirements:

• Prior sales experience (required)
• Prior marine sales experience (required)
• Thorough knowledge of boats
• Familiarity with off-road vehicles and marine parts and accessories
• Possess strong attention to quality work and detail
• Possess professional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Be able to work in indoor/outdoor environment
• Be able to stand for long periods of time
