What are the responsibilities and job description for the (Sr.) Commercial Analyst (f/m/x) position at Berlin Brands Group?

Berlin Brands Group (BBG) has been designing, producing, and selling products in the areas of kitchen appliances, garden & living, sports and consumer electronics since 2005 and is now one of Europe’s largest digital companies including over 900 employees around the globe.We love brands and products!

 

What you will do:  

  • You define, report and monitor KPIs within the Category Management department (Sales activity, definition of margins, forecasting, budget planning, etc.) for a continuous optimization of our Sales performance and processes
  • You examine, analyze and validate large datasets (e.g. multi-channel sales, country-specific sales, internal profitability, etc.)
  • You act as a business sparring partner and closely support our sales and operative teams on their daily business, as well as our management of Sales on defining new strategies
  • You set up and update reporting structures to drive decision-making for the sales teams as well as Corporate Management
  • You implement and monitor forecast and controlling processes for daily, quarterly and yearly planning
  • You collaborate with other departments in cross-topic projects
  • You support and manage different Sales-related projects

 

What we are looking for:  

  • You have successfully completed a university degree in Business Administration or similar field, ideally with a major in Controlling, Accounting or Finance
  • You have several years of professional experience in a similar position; prior experience in e-commerce is a plus
  • We look for the right mix of committed team players and "number crunchers": passionate and reliable collaborators who also bring strong initiative and can work independently
  • You have an excellent sense of innovation, entrepreneurial thinking and solid business acumen, understanding a business nature behind the numbers
  • You are resilient and a great communicator and have a goal-oriented mindset
  • You have great analytical skills and bring solid knowledge of reporting/database tools (Excel is a must; database skills as SQL, etc. are welcome)
  • Good experience with Power BI is a big plus
  • You speak very fluent English (written and spoken); fluency in German is a plus
