Our ideal candidate will have experience in case management as a paralegal or legal assistant and is skilled in drafting documents, managing case files, and conducting legal research. Compensation:$50,000 - $80,000
Responsibilities:- Create legal documents for attorney review
- Advise attorneys with cost and time-effective recommendations to accomplish the client’s goals
- Organize and maintain all case files, and information concerning engagement, whether electronic or paper, in accordance with the law firm policies
- Update clients and outside counsel on case status as requested
- Perform legal research to obtain documentation regarding health insurance, medical records, social security, and medical providers
- Must be proactive and driven to close tasks and activities
- Experience drafting legal documents and conducting legal research is vital
- Previous case management process experience is needed - preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant at a law firm, non-profit, or human services agency
- Exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral are needed
- A 2-year degree and Paralegal certification are acceptable, but a Bachelor’s degree is preferred - High school diploma is required
- Computer proficient - specifically with case management software, word processing, and spreadsheet presentation
- Must be proficient with MS Office and legal case management systems
