Berry Global Corporation is searching for a Packer to join their team in Chino, CA
Summary:
To remove finished product from the machines, inspect product to ensure quality specifications have been met and that all packaging requirements have been done according to production work order.
Responsibilities:
- Must review productions orders
- Must determine correct packing materials are available at the line
- Removes finished product from winders and places it on scales to verify weight
- Places items in designated cartons as per production order specifications
- Places identification labels on product or skids
- Must keep work area clean of scrap plastic, cardboard and other debris
- Must be able to ensure that the quality is being followed according to work order specifications
- Must be able to work both Custom and Stretch

Requirements:
- Must know how to read and use a tape measure and weigh scale
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., if over 50 lbs. requires a team lift or mechanical aid such as a roll lift or forklift
- Must be able to stand for 12 hours
- Must be able to work rotating 12-hour shift including holidays and weekends
- Must be able to bend, twist, and rotate body at all times
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
- The employee in this job is required to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally (less than 1/3 of time); and up to 35 pounds of force frequently (more than 1/3 of the total time); if over 50 lbs, requires a team lift or mechanical aid such as a roll lift or forklift.
- Must be able to stand for 12 hours
- Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shift including holidays and weekends
- Must be able to bend, twist, and rotate body at all times
- Reaching with hands and arms for as much as 100% of workday
- Talking to communicate with others
- Hearing to communicate with others and respond to manufacturing and PIT equipment sounds
- Using arms to grasp, handle, and type
- Walking to operate production machines and to package and palletize finished product
Language Skills:
Must be able to read and write in English
Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred
