Account Advisor

Bertog Landscape Company, based in Wheeling, IL, is looking for a dedicated Account Advisor. We are a company that takes pride in our excellent horticultural practices and quality that surpasses industry standards. As an Account Advisor, you will be responsible for managing our residential and select commercial clients for landscape maintenance services. This role also extends to the snow season. This is an opportunity to grow professionally while assisting with the company's growth through client retention, enhancement/design sales, and new business development.

Responsibilities

• Act as a bridge between the maintenance operations and the client, ensuring clear communication.
• Develop long-term, trusting relationships with clients, leading to client retention and referrals.
• Schedule and execute site walk-throughs keeping clients informed about their landscaping needs.
• Manage budgets to best serve the clients for seasonal enhancements and property improvements.
• Coordinate with the landscape maintenance supervisor and crews to ensure the client’s priorities are understood and executed.
• Resolve any client issues proactively and problem solve when needed.
• Educate clients about Bertog Landscape Co., and our capabilities in landscape design and construction.
• Ensure monthly budget enhancement goals are achieved.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable and collections.
• Monitor the hours used vs budgeted hours for your client’s property and maintain conversation about hours with the maintenance supervisor.
• Renew client contracts annually (as needed), negotiating contracts that are not performing to profitability standards.
• Monitor job profitability by customer and site.
• Assist and actively participate in the development of new business for landscape maintenance and snow removal.
• Manage and supervise snow plowing operations at various accounts during the snow season.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of landscape experience and/or a landscape-related degree.
• A positive reputation in the industry.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to follow through.
• Positive attitude with a passion for landscaping and horticulture.
