Patient Registration Clerk

Springville, NY

Part Time - Evenings and Nights. Weekend rotations required.

$500 Sign-On Bonus. $14.48 per hour with shift differential of $.80 or $1.00.

As the first person our patients meet at BCH, the Registration Clerk obtains accurate patient details to be used by the hospital and physicians. The Registration Clerk operates a multi-line telephone system, answers calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel as well as directs in-person visitors.

  • Meet and greet patients, answers all incoming calls
  • Notify Emergency Department staff of a triage, alert specific departments as needed
  • Responsible for emergency code phone and announce emergencies via paging system.
  • Collect necessary patient documentation, legal consents and Authorization Forms
  • Prepares patient chart, identification bracelet
  • Enter data, complete and distribute all necessary patient charts, forms or reports to departments as needed including medical records and billing.

Required

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Previous Medical Reception OR Medical Office experience is required
  • Computer skills are required
