Legal Recruiter

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. The Legal Recruiter works with the Chief Talent Officer and other firm management to understand the Firm's lateral hiring objectives in conjunction with its practice areas, the legal industry, client needs and growth strategy.
2. Develops and executes lateral recruiting efforts focusing on recruiting, retaining, supporting and advancing lawyers and professional staff from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds to promote an inclusive and diverse workplace, and to provide excellent clients services.
3. Sources candidates, reviews resumes and qualifications, conducts interviews, checks references and makes hiring recommendations for lateral attorney and professional staff applicants.
4. Assists in orienting new hires, works with Practice Group Leaders, and Director of Attorney Development & Recruiting, to create personalized integration plans.
5. Assists in developing and implementing strategies to improve diversity and inclusion efforts.
6. Stays abreast of changes in the legal industry and shares competitive market intelligence, such as hiring data and potential opportunities, that could contribute to the firm's growth.
7. Assists with management and implementation of strategic initiatives and special projects, as appropriate.
8. Works within deadlines and effectively handle stress.
9. Establish effective working relationships and appropriately interact with others.
10. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree and Juris Doctorate
2. Experience practicing law in a law firm setting for a minimum of 2 years or at least 3 years of experience as a full-time legal recruiter.

Work Environment:

1. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines and scanners.
