What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Front Desk / Laundry 11pm to 7am position at Best Western Grove City Inn?
Job Summary: Audits, balances, and reports on the various areas of the hotel (e.g., food and beverage, rooms, front desk, gift shop, etc.) to provide accurate and timely financial information on the hotel’s operational performance for the day and Prepares and cleans hotel linens in accordance with established standards to assure guest satisfaction.
Job Duties:
- Sorts, pre-treats, washes, dries, presses, folds, and delivers hotel linens to departments as needed.
- Maintains linen cart and supplies in a neat and organized manner.
- Responds to requests from guests and hotel staff in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintains security of equipment, keys, and supplies issued each day.
- Maintains a professional image through appearance and dress.
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Performs duties of the Front Desk Agent.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous hotel experience desired.
- Basic knowledge of general laundry cleaning principles, use of laundry products, and operation of standard laundry equipment.
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time.
- Strong customer service orientation and skills.
- Present a professional image, and able to communicate well with both guests and employees.
- Ability to operate front office equipment and computers.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
