The Better Business Bureau located in Roanoke, VA has an immediate opening for a qualified Business Relations Executive who will be responsible for selling the value of becoming a BBB Accredited Business. A successful candidate enjoys making outbound cold calls using a consultative sales approach to build rapport and promote accreditation to small, mid-sized and large businesses throughout Western Virginia.

Leads originate from our extensive database, online accreditation requests, and perhaps most effectively from proactive approaches by the Business Relations Executives sourcing their own leads.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated charismatic professional to use their sales experience, instincts and intuition in order to make an impact in the community and help local businesses enhance their credibility in a significant way.

Job Description:

  • Prospecting new customers by developing relationships with potential prospects through cold calling, emailing, and networking
  • Respond to leads in a timely manner and follow up on leads to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain records of all contact/sales activities with an emphasis on attention to detail and handle leads that require follow-up
  • Follow up with potential clients to obtain additional information regarding their needs, or to schedule an in-person meeting if necessary
  • Identify key players in each encounter and build rapport with clients to create long-term relationships with new business customers
  • Provide accurate and timely information per company policy while ensuring consistency in client's experience across the company

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience working in a sales environment preferred but not required

Pay: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
