This role is an in office position for candidates within a commutable distance of our Irvine location. This role is non-exempt hourly, and pays $18.00 with uncapped bonuses driven by performance! This role is open to candidates who do not require visa sponsorship. 

As we expand the Better Debt Solutions family, we are excited to introduce a new opportunity for a Retention Specialist. We seek a dynamic individual with a proven track record in engaging and retaining customers. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in nurturing relationships with our existing clients, proactively addressing their concerns to prevent cancellations. Your contributions will directly impact individuals striving towards financial freedom. Responsibilities:

  • Engage with existing clients to build rapport and address concerns.
  • Provide information about program benefits and address client inquiries.
  • Work proactively to prevent cancellations and promote client satisfaction.
  • Navigate through challenging conversations to find mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance in all interactions.
  • Maintain and update client interactions through the CRM

Qualifications:

  • Prior sales experience or negotiation experience.
  • The capacity to negotiate and persuade clients to continue with the debt settlement program through effective communication.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other tools used for client interactions and record-keeping.
  • Proven track record maintaining client records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • The ability to adapt to various client personalities and situations, as well as changes in company policies or industry regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, especially sales representatives, to ensure a seamless transition from the sales process to retention efforts.
  • The ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally, maintaining composure during challenging conversations.
