As a fast-moving and high-performing solar energy company, Better Earth relies on the efficiency and effectiveness of our warehouses. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the inventory, gear, equipment, tools and SWAG in each warehouse as well as assisting our Operations Manager and Fleet Manager with our vehicle fleet. Our equipment is our #1 cost driver so this is a critical role and the Warehouse Manager is the last line of defense on every project before the rubber literally hits the road and the project goes out for installation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, does well in a high-paced environment, is a self-starter, likes organization and is capable of the physical aspects of the job. Basic computer literacy is a must and forklift skills are a plus!
Responsibilities:
- Assists our crews and especially our crew leads to load up all their equipment in the morning and ensure they have everything they need to be successful.
- Utilizes our Inventory Management System (IMS) to ensure we always have the equipment we need in the warehouse and on our shelves to complete every project efficiently.
- Works with our Procurement Team and our vendors to ensure that orders are placed in a timely fashion to again ensure that equipment arrives on time and we always have what we need to complete every project.
- Receives orders from our vendors and restocks the shelves in a timely, cleanly and organized manner.
- Utilizes our CRM/Project Management System to pull equipment for every project the day before and then stage all equipment for the crews for the next morning to ensure they have what they need ready to go for that day’s installation.
- Works with our Service Technicians to ensure they have the equipment they need to complete their projects as well.
- Assists our Fleet Manager and Operations Manager to ensure our Fleet is under control and is staying properly maintained.
- Manages all equipment, gear, SWAG, tools, etc. in the warehouse in an organized, cleanly and efficient manner.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- 2 years of Warehouse experience is a plus and 1 of those years in a lead position is a huge plus
- Basic forklift skills are a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a plus
- Basic computer literacy is a must
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and do other physically demanding work
- Must be detail oriented in a fast paced environment
- Must like organization and cleanliness
- Must work well with others
- Knowledge of electrical equipment is a plus, knowledge of solar equipment is a huge plus
Job Type: Full-time
Monday - Friday | 6am - 4pm PST
Compensation
- $22 - $25/hour depending on experience
