The purpose of this role is to serve as the primary technical point of contact for an international team developing separation hardware for installation on upper stage structures. This role will be responsible for managing technical specification, generated development plans and verification/validation documents for delivery to the customer. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable working in a team environment in which they are the focal point for technical communication between the technical disciplines of the team and the project managers. They will possess the attention to detail required to take ownership of and be responsible for the on-time delivery of project deliverables to both internal and external stakeholders.

Main Tasks:
- Coordinate all technical disciplines related to the development of complex products
- Manage, negotiate and track customer requirements and break them down to sub-system level requirements
- Manage requirement verification control
- Support M&P, design and analysis for project activities
- Issue technical specifications for sub-systems and subcontractors
- Drive / Contribute to design and technologies trade study selection process
- Analyze complex problems and define solutions, considering given requirements
- Conduct concept studies
- Develop, evaluate, and compare technical solutions in order to determine optimal nominal solutions including
- multi-disciplinary trade-offs and respective reports
- lssue technical reports (e.g. Development and Verification plans, Specifications, Development and Qualification test
- plans, etc)
- Review of technical results and documentation (incl. engineering and manufacturing drawings)
- Support the project manager in the conducting of regular project meetings (internal and external) and design reviews
- Conduct technical meetings
- Coordinate and issue technical proposals
- Support the project manager in technical negotiations with customers and subcontractors/suppliers, be the primary
- technical interface to the customer
- B.S. in Engineering (or equivalent education/experience)
- 5 Years of relevant industry experience
- Very good understanding of composite and metallic materials in the following domains: mechanical, structural, thermal, acoustic and aerodynamic
- Risk management
- Proposal management
- Awareness of costs and schedule
- Problem solving skills
- Good communication and cooperation
- Organizational skills
- Familiarity with IBM DOORS and Enovia preferred
- MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and also Project)
