Beyond's Merchant Compliance team mission is to ensure Beyond and its clients comply with payment industry rules, regulations, mandates, and laws which apply to credit card, debit card, and other forms of electronic payments. As a Merchant Compliance Analyst you will work closely with team leadership, developers, and analysts to create and deliver Merchant compliance and services. Your contributions to the team will help Beyond and its clients achieve their goals by securely and reliably keeping up to date on regulation updates and Data integrity issues.

What you will do:

  • Educate internal customers, merchants, and Business Advocates about compliance best practices via phone, and email.
  • Assist customers with becoming and maintaining PCI compliance.
  • Address compliance violations (surcharging, min/max limits), and data compromises (Small Merchant Investigations, Common Point of Purchase, Account Data Compromise, etc.).
  • Monitor and support Client and Vendor compliance with industry standards (Data Integrity Edits, Processing Volume Thresholds, etc.)
  • Conduct quality assurance review on monthly statement messages.
  • Participate in the continual review and integration of new policies, procedures, laws, acts, and industry regulations including:
    • Reviewing bulletins, news, and webinars shared by payment brands and/or business partners otherwise related to the payments industry and;
    • Support management in assessing risks and opportunities for Beyond products, services, and operational processes
    • Aid in the creation and distribution of impact communications, training, and educational materials for internal and external audiences
  • Be available to the organization as a subject matter expert on Merchant Compliance rules and technical requirements defined by the payment brands including; PCI-DSS, Surcharging, and unique restrictions or registration requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Information Technology, Operations, Security, Product, Account Management, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Legal, vendors, and clients
  • Assist in department projects including research, marketing, administrative tasks, and new idea development, etc.
  • Participate in independent studies and department projects which include: research, marketing, administrative tasks, and new idea development
